This presentation aims to demonstrate all the work developed for the conception of the new logo for the Central Bank of Sao Tome and Príncipe (BCSTP). From the initial sketches to the models and simulations of the logo application in many places and materials. We will now describe what led us to this proposal.
Sao Tome and Príncipe, a country of flora and fauna, boasts in its imposing crest a Falcon and a Parrot. After an attentive research we discovered the existence of rare birds that exist solely on these two islands. We began the conception of this logo, depicting a silhouette of a bird, as a unique and absolute symbol of the entity of the country.
The logo that we present to your Excellencies, is no specific species of bird, and is intended to be a symbol that represents and united the richness and diversity of birds that exist in Sao Tome and the Prince. The grace and grandeur of the bird’s flight seem to give the Central Bank of Sao Tome and Príncipe a renewed, graceful and modern image.
